CANDOUR TAKES TOP HONORS WITH 19 AWARDS AT LOCAL ADDYS®

With a series of big wins at the Greater Ocala Advertising Federation’s 2010 ADDY® Awards Gala, local design and branding firm, Candour advances on to the District ADDY® Awards competition where they will compete among the top design and advertising firms in Florida, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

At the awards gala held on Thursday, February 18, Candour was recognized by the Greater Ocala Advertising Federation with 19 local ADDY® awards including Best of Show, Best of Print, Best of Electronic, Best Art Direction, two Judge’s Choice Awards, nine golds and four silvers. The firm accepted awards for the following:

“We are very humbled to have our hard work celebrated by our local industry peers,” said Candour Principal and Creative Director, Kristin Goza. “We continue to raise the bar internally for our work and it is a great honor to be recognized for our efforts.”

With that win, Candour automatically advances to the district competition held in Tampa, Florida on May 2 where they hope to win an award that will advance them on to the 2010 National ADDY® Awards held in Orlando, Florida on June 12. In 2009, Candour’s first year of business, they were honored to receive their first national award at the 2009 National ADDY® Awards Gala held in Washington, D.C. Although they are not expecting to advance that far again this year, they would be honored and humbled if they did. “Our goal is to always execute our client projects with the highest standards of creative excellence and thoughtful strategy, so receiving positive affirmation from our industry peers helps us know that our approach is working,” said Holly Clark, Candour Principal and Creative Director.

The ADDY® Awards are the world’s largest and most competitive advertising contest with nearly 60,000 local entries competing in 200 cities coast-to-coast. The awards recognize the top advertising agencies, design firms, copywriters, web developers, and media companies throughout the nation.
